DAY1

Hangzhou (West Lake + Longjing Tea Terraces)

Arrive at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. Morning: West Lake core tour —Broken Bridge, Bai Causeway, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. Afternoon: Longjing Village tea experience —spring tea picking and hand-roasting demonstration. Dinner at Louwailou Restaurant —West Lake vinegar fish, Dongpo pork, Longjing shrimp.

DAY2

Hangzhou (Lingyin Temple + Songcheng)

Morning: Lingyin Temple —millennium-old Buddhist temple —and Feilai Peak stone carvings. Afternoon: Songcheng Theme Park for immersive Song Dynasty cultural experience. Evening: "Romantic Show of Songcheng" large-scale live performance. Boutique hotel in West Lake district.

DAY3

Wuzhen ▶Xitang

Travel to Wuzhen (6A-rated). Dongzha area: Mao Dun's Former Residence, Jiangnan Bed Museum. Afternoon: Wuzhen Xizha —Water Market and indigo fabric dyeing workshop. Evening drive to Xitang for night tour —red lantern corridors and riverside bars. Riverside guesthouse in Xitang.

DAY4

Xitang Morning ▶Departure

Xitang at dawn —low tourist density, Rain Corridor, Shipi Alley. Optional: Traditional lantern-making or Shadow puppet workshop. Afternoon return to Hangzhou or Shanghai.

How do I get from Hangzhou to Wuzhen? We handle all transport by private vehicle. The drive takes about 1.5 hours. We can also arrange scenic stops along the way through the water town corridor. Is Xitang or Tongji better than Wuzhen? Each has its appeal. Wuzhen is the most famous for good reason. We often recommend combining Wuzhen's west side (evening & night) with a quieter dawn visit to Xitang or Tongji for contrast. Can I visit a Longjing tea farm and do a tea tasting? Yes — we include a private Longjing (Dragon Well) tea garden visit with a professional tasting session. The terraces above Hangzhou are beautiful year-round, with April–May being the harvest season. Is Hangzhou suitable for first-time China visitors? Very much so. Hangzhou has a relaxed pace, excellent English signage, good international hotels, and one of China's most celebrated landscapes. It's often described as the most liveable city in China. What's the best month to visit Zhejiang? April–May for spring blossoms and tea harvest.
